I love this tool. I use it to maintain a long steep drive way. It is so solid and with the longer handle I can get a lot of leverage to move rock/gravel, dig drainage slips, smooth out divots etc. Never worry about overloading it (the operator fails before the tool!).

The keretu will work for well for building trails, but it is heavier then I expected. The handle is thicker then I thought it would be and the handle is shorter then I was thinking. All in all I'm happy just going to make a few modifications.

Excellent trail tool - I've used them all, Rogue Hoes, Mattocks, Hoe-rakes, McLeod's of all sizes and this is my favorite tool to build trails with.
