We’re gearing up for the Bell’s Iceman Cometh Challenge on November 6. We’re also helping you gear up for your own trail building projects and supporting our local trail association. Suffice it to say, we’re busy.
With events taking place Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, we've got a full weekend to cap off another great season of mountain bike racing in northern Michigan. This event offers something for everyone, and it offers us a chance to give back. Through our new "Let's Build Something" Silent Auction and the Norte Rides with the Pros ride, we're sure we'll see you!
The Iceman Cometh Challenge Expo
Racers at the Iceman Cometh Challenge are going to see plenty of up.bike this year. Over 3,000 riders will receive one of our famous Scout Tool, complete with a custom Iceman logo and a CO2 cartridge. It’s the perfect thing to toss in your jersey pocket before toeing the start line for 29 miles of cold, fast, and unpredictable racing in Traverse City, Michigan.
The NMMBA “Let’s Build Something” Project
This year, we’ve donated two of our most versatile trail tools to our friends at Northern Michigan Mountain Bike Association. All-day on Friday, you’ll have a chance to stop by their booth and put in a bid on a custom Slayer or Loamer. These trail tools are some of our top-selling tools and a must-have for anyone looking to build or maintain top-quality singletrack. 100% of proceeds will go directly to support Northern Michigan Mountain Bike Association and their trail projects across the region.
Norte Rides with the Pros
We’re not done after racing on Saturday, either! Make sure you join NMMBA, Norte, and Traverse Area Recreational Trails at the Vasa Bike Park on Sunday, November 7 at 1 pm. Norte is hosting professional mountain bike racers Cole Patton and Savilia Blunk for a ride with the kids. Bring your pint-sized shredder out for a short group ride, some snacks, and a quick question and answer session that will keep your kid motivated to ride all winter long.
We’ll be there with our Team Bicycle Trailer, a custom bike trailer that can fit more than a dozen bikes, and all the stuff you need for your next adventure!

The Iceman Cometh Challenge is a whole weekend of fun that caps off the race season for most riders in our neck of the woods. If you haven’t made it to Traverse City to race it yet, make sure it’s on your dance card for 2022.
