Spotlight: The WorkStation

by Up.Bike

Maybe the most simple product, this one has quickly become one of our best-selling accessories.

Our team of testers started off wheel our Wheelie and Fork Mounts, but it wasn't long before they started coming to us with different needs. The first email we got was for some kind of a stand to work on bikes. A normal bike repair stand is incredibly handy for riders looking to do everything from lube their chains to knock out a total overhaul. That said, repair stands have a pretty massive footprint in your garage, and be honest, none of us are folding them up and putting them away every time we use it.

For riders who don't have the extra room to leave a stand almost permanently set-up, we've got a solution. With a dedicated slice of Wall Rail, our testers slapped the WorkStation in place and got to work. It can handle more than just a wipe down and a chain lube; we've now done everything from brake bleeds to bottom bracket installs, with no issues with stability or moving under pressure.

The WorkStation also has become the perch for our most-ridden bikes, serving as prime day-to-day storage. It's lower than our other mounts and easy to toss a bike up after a hard ride, which is especially handy if you have kids or you're a climber with no upper body strength. It's also really handy for those little adjustments we all make before every ride like airing up the tires, lubing the chain, and loading up bottles or lights. No more awkward lean-against-the-paint-cans or other precarious spot as you try to get you and your bike out of the garage and onto the road or trail.

A little tip on the WorkStation; consider getting an extra Wall Flower and mounting it on the outside wall of your garage. One of our testers did this as a spot to work on bikes under sunny skies, but it's also really handy for washing your bikes. Put it within range of your house, bring a bucket, and it's so much easier to wash your bike without an extra hand with both wheels off the ground.
