Ore2 Shore Race Week: We've Got A Treat For You

by up.bike

Ore2Shore is here!

Ore2Shore is the first huge mountain bike race of the season here in the Midwest, kicking off what looks to be three months of non-stop racing. With so many events moved from the spring to fall, some of the biggest events on the calendar are now all crammed into about twelve weeks!

This weekend, thousands of mountain bikers are headed to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and swarming on the oasis of Marquette. Home to ore docks and Blackrocks, Marquette is also one of the marquee mountain bike destinations in the country.

For Ore2Shore, both the 48 and 28-mile routes feature tough climbs and the race’s iconic red dust. After a year on hiatus, racers will be looking to spend a day or two in town to reacquaint themselves with the nuances of the course, especially some of its rocky, tough climbs and ripping fast descents.

Ore2Shore Packet Pick-up

We’ve got a little something special in your Ore2Shore packet this year, too. We’ve created an etched tag with the O2S logo on one side and our logo on the other. Mail it in and we’ll add your name to it and send it back to you, absolutely free!

These make a neat keychain memento or slide nicely on your pet’s dog tag, too. If you want “Fido” on there, hey, we’ll make it happen!

Ore2Shore Late Registration and Packet Pick-Up

Grab your laser-etched tag and all your race goodies at Lakeview Arena between 6-9 pm Friday, August 13.

If you grab your packet on race day, note there are different locations and slightly different times for each event:
